Arizona Memorial Shoreside Dock

Sea Engineering, Inc. (SEI) served as a subcontractor to Hawk Contracting Group for the National Park Service on the demolition and installation of the new Arizona Memorial Shoreside Dock. The project goal was to remove the existing shoreside dock and install a custom-made dock and mooring system for the boat tours to the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. Sea Engineering provided on water and in water services for the successful completion of the project. The removal and demolition of the existing dock was conducted with our 74-foot-long work vessel and hydraulic excavators. SEI assembled 13 individual concrete modules of varying size and weight. Aided by our professional diving and boat crew, the modules were assembled and post tensioned in two phases then transported from an assembly area within Pearl Harbor to the park shoreside dock. The installation of the assembled dock consisted of two phases. The 180-foot-long dock is connected to shore via 16 steel pipes of varying size from 5 to 55 feet in length. SEI installed two 30-foot-long aluminum gangways to allow guests access to the floating dock. Today, the Arizona Memorial shoreside dock is fully functional and allows visitors to access one of the most important pieces of American history.
