1. Engineer Diver (Honolulu and California Office)

We are seeking an  ADCI engineer-diver to support our marine and commercial diving operations, including underwater inspection of waterfront / marine structures and bridges, commercial diving, proposals, and project logistics.

Position will have the opportunity to work inter-divisionally with SEI’s ocean and coastal engineering, marine construction and Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) divisions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Underwater inspection of waterfront / marine structures and bridges.
  • Support project logistics, scheduling, and planning.
  • Engineering analysis and design for marine and commercial diving projects.
  • Support proposals with material and quantity takeoffs and pricing.
  • Preparation of reports and other professional documents.
  • Preparation of ADCI/OSHA compliant and EM385-1-1 dive plans.

Required Qualifications/Abilities:

  • ADCI commercial diver or equivalent (required)
    • ADCI Dive supervisor or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with EM385-1-1 diving
  • Must be able to obtain a DBIDS and TWIC card
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Desired Qualifications/Abilities

  • NHI UW Bridge Inspector (preferred)
  • NHI Bridge Inspection Team Leader (preferred)
  • Experience drafting reports.
  • Experience with MS Project

Education and Experience (minimum & preferred):

  • BS in Mechanical, Civil, Structural or Ocean Engineering

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift 50 lbs. or 100 lbs. in tandem

Compensation:

Based on experience, this role’s base pay range is between $70,000 and $115,000 annually.
