Our capabilities include:

Fiber Optic Cables - route planning studies; nearshore route surveys (geophysical and diving); shore end landings; installation of cable protection.

Coastal and Ocean Engineering - marina and harbor design; dredging evaluation; design of coastal structures for erosion control, shore protection and navigation; coastal processes studies; hurricane modeling; pipeline and outfall design; pipeline and cable route selection; wave force calculations.

Aquatic and Environmental Studies - measurement and analysis of oceanographic parameters; determination of oceanographic design criteria; environmental impact statements and assessments; permitting; search and recovery of hazardous materials; oceanographic, estuarine and riverine monitoring;  marine environmental assessments;  hydrodynamic and sediment transport modeling; unique iInstrumentation.

Research - SEI has been the recipient of 5 grants from the National Defense Center of Excellence for Research in Ocean Sciences (CEROS). Projects have been related to sub-bottom profiling, buried object detection, water quality measurements and stress detection.

Hydrographic and Geophysical Surveys - integrated multi-system surveys with full geodetic control; bathymetry; subbottom profiling, side scan sonar and magnetometer surveys; DGPS and RTK positioning.

Diving and Marine Services - underwater engineering inspections; ROV services; offshore mooring maintenance and repair; pipeline construction; fiber optic cable landings; offshore ship repair; ship and aircraft salvage; repair and construction of marine and coastal structures including ocean outfalls, docks, bulkheads, breakwaters and drydocks; damage assessment and repair cost estimating.
